AISL Athletic Association Winter Leagues

"Devoted to the spirit of learning, fun, and sportsmanship"

The AISL is an indoor soccer league comprised of Catholic School and Recreation Council teams. The entire day of Saturday is available for AISL Leagues. Session I will begin on December 5, 2009 and run through January 23, 2010.  Session II will run from February 6, 2010 through March 27, 2010. Games will be played between the hours of 8:00 AM through 11:00 PM (last game starts at 10:00 PM).

LEAGUE  FEE
The league fee is $695 per team.

REFEREE FEES
Each team will be responsible for paying referees before each game. Referee fees are as follows: Field #3 is $10.00 per team; Fields #1 and #2 are $20.00 per team.

LEAGUE ESTABLISHMENT
The AISL Indoor Soccer League will make every reasonable effort to create competitive leagues based on the number of teams registered within an age group.  The AISL will attempt to form leagues based on the level of experience (Ratings 1 - 7), and divisional placement (A,B,C).  Adjustments may be required to make the league minimum of four teams (within an age group).  The AISL reserves the right to move teams "up" within an age group to accommodate openings in leagues that do not have the minimum number of teams.

ROSTERS
Team rosters are due before your first game.  Please return the team rosters to the Freestate office or mail them to Freestate Sports Arena, PO Box 262, White Marsh, Md. 21162.

LEAGUE PLAY
Leagues will play eight (8) games. With the exception of the U8 division, the first six (6) games establish your position for the two (2) week single elimination rounds. *NEW - Leagues U14 and above shall play 6v6. Leagues U12 and below shall play 7v7. Team trophies will be awarded to league champions and runners up.

OVERTIME
There will be no overtime periods in the event of a tie for all non-playoff games.
Overtime, for playoff games, will consist of one (1) five (5) minute "sudden death" period.  If either team fails to score, then a second five (5) minute "sudden death" period is started BUT both goalies are removed.
If either team fails to score again, then a third five (5) minute "sudden death" period is started, BUT, one field player from each team must be removed (e.g., if you have 6 field players, you now play with 5 field players and still no goalie).  Play will continue with 5-minute periods until someone scores.  Free substitutions are permitted as normally allowed by the rules, but there are NO time outs.
